Since 1991, West Hollywood Children’s Academy (WHCA) is at the forefront of delivering an extraordinary early childhood educational program in West Hollywood and the surrounding areas. We foster social, cognitive, emotional, and physical development ensuring that every child has an opportunity to thrive. We are dedicated to providing center-based, trusted, quality care and education program for children and families in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Our well-equipped beautiful indoor and outdoor areas and a wide variety of learning materials playfully introduce languages, literature, science, math, music, and arts. We believe that childhood should be filled with wonder, discovery, and joy. Our curriculum fosters a love of learning through hands-on stimulating activities, inspiring children to explore their world with curiosity and confidence. It is tailored to each developmental stage and designed to unlock the potential within each child.
We view each child as a unique individual with a unique development plan. We encourage thinking, reasoning, questioning, and experimenting. Academic skills are being integrated into projects and activities in a fun and joyful way. The program is a balance of teacher directed and child directed activities.

Fine and Gross Motor Skills Development
Our curriculum emphasizes developing fine and gross motor skills essential for your child’s physical health and academic success. We incorporate a variety of activities, including:
- Dancing, Gymnastics, and Yoga: Encourages coordination and balance.
- Outdoor Play: Our spacious playground and backyard offer the perfect running, jumping, and biking setting.
- Creative Classroom Activities: Ensures your child’s fine motor skills are constantly engaged and evolving, from art projects to play dough and kinetic sand.

- Dance: Encouraging physical activity and developing rhythm, coordination, and self-expression through movement.
- Music Appreciation: Cultivating an early love for music. Children gradually learn different styles, genres, composers, and famous classical pieces.
- Interactive Live Zoology Program: Expanding knowledge and curiosity about animals and their habitats.

COVID-19 Protocols and Safety Measures
In compliance with the guidelines of L.A. Public Health and the CDC, as well as adhering to Title 22 of the California State Licensing Division, we’ve amplified our cleanliness standards:
- All cleaning materials are EPA-approved.
- A full-time housekeeping staff member maintains our center’s cleanliness.
- Staff are fully vaccinated.
- As of 3/11/22, masks are optional indoors and outdoors. Temperature checks and hand-washing protocols for children will continue.
